Wood your mind? – WoodCircus is looking for best practices in wood-based circular economy

Save the date for our upcoming WoodCircus workshop on 13th of November, 14:00 – 16:00 h, at the Maternushaus in Cologne, Germany.

The main goal of the WoodCircus project is to promote wood-based value chains as a key part of the bioeconomy in Europe. To achieve this, the project aims to identify case studies with outstanding good practices in the European wood sector. During the workshop we will discuss how to investigate case studies that belong to a circular or partly-circular wood value chain. We are looking forward to diverse input from all interested stakeholders.

Participation in the workshop is free, but registration is required.

The workshop will be organised one day before the largest biocomposites event in the world, the 8th Biocompoistes Conference Cologne. Please find here all details on the conference which takes place in the Maternushaus too.

About the WoodCircus project

The project missions include compiling existing empirical knowledge and practical know-how to establish a state-of-the-art overview of wood-based value chains in the wood construction sector, identifying and disseminating good practices and innovative solutions to optimize use of forest resources in all parts of the value chains as well as raising public awareness. Various stakeholder groups are closely engaged at every stage of the project. Beside the technical aspects, WoodCircus is addressing regulatory issues of the legal framework bounding the wood construction and associated sectors.
